I bought this as a gift for a love one and thought it was a nice compromise between the cheap looking versions and the really nice looking, expensive ones. Boy was I wrong!It looks like it could be metal but it is really plastic and super cheap looking. The chime function didn't work when mine arrived and the various options for the clock (chiming, silent, hourly chime, etc) are confusing. The product directions are no help either.
The clock is pretty small too, it appears much bigger than it actually is. Overall the packaging and the workmanship is dissappointing in my opinion.
I ended up contacting the seller and returning mine for a full refund (less shipping). Not a purchase I was pleased with or proud to give someone else as a gift.
