OnGuard Kids Digital Watch with Safety Alarm & Interchangeable Faceplates (Blue) Review

Bought this for my 9 year old son in preparation for a trip to Disneyland just in case we became separated or if anyone tried to lure him away during the trip.When I first opened the package and tried to get the watch to work, it wouldn't even set.The batteries were dead and I had to change them out with others that I had bought.Had to remove an internal cover to replace the 3 disc batteries.Right after I put the batteries in, the watch beeped on but as soon as I replaced the internal cover over the batteries, the watch died again.I tried replacing the old batteries and leaving the internal cover off but it was still dead so the old batteries were not working.Replaced the new batteries again and the unit worked but when I replaced the cover, it went dead.Finally I just left the internal cover off.The batteries were seated pretty firmly so the cover wasn't absolutely necessary but it was irritating nonetheless.Finally got the unit working and set and my son practiced setting the alarm and turning it off quickly.The alarm is pretty loud and I'm certain I would hear it even in a crowded situation.My son wore it during much of the trip except for one long day when it started irritating him and he wanted it off.He's not used to wearing watches.All in all, except for the battery cover issue, I am pretty pleased with the watch.
