Hannspree SG4311SB 4.3-Inch Photo Alarm Clock Review

So many points so here yah go:

You can't upload music, you must leave a USB stick plugged in - and no slot for a memory card, I could understand not shipping with one but not even an option, how ugly is that, a memory stick jutting out of the side, so the MP3 functionality is kind of a joke - I didn't even try it, so can't comment on compatibility, or how it reads MP3 info but I am guessing not well. Same goes for photos, well you can upload ONE photo, that is it, and use it on only one screen where unfortunately the clock is very small - not the one with the large clock hands, or on the calendar screen for example. If you want refreshing photos, again you need to leave the USB stick plugged in! So as a photo frame this also doesn't really work. Most of the preloaded screens are very kid like, see picture in ad, little lions for example, and this is also the same if you choose the digital clock, same background - why not a simple black background as an option? The others are not great and also very childish. Your alarm noise, can only be birds chirping, no other options, not even the radio, or even a buzzer/bell! The sound is awful, and not very loud, think of volume and quality on a speaker phone on a cell phone - so you wouldn't use it to listen to music. I don't expect much, even mono sound is fine on a clock radio but this is bad. Controls are also wonky. Really wish the backgrounds were not so kid like - and although it will accept a USB stick I don't see how they would be able to update these in the future, but good for a kids or young girls room. Type the name and model number in an online photo search and you will be able to find more of these images. Also the screen resolution is bad, not even as a good as most cell phones, and only landscape photos will work, well portraits will, but the picture becomes very small, they don't zoom in or stretch to fill the screen. I would have been happier with a nice clock radio, where you can plug in an Ipod, and has a large readable lcd clock. On the positive side it is small, and looks attractive, streamlined which is is nice. A bit of a finger print magnet, but it comes with a microfiber cloth, haha. This could be a great product with some updates, and a bit lower cost.
