I received this clock yesterday and it's beautiful!It looks a bit different than the picture the stain around the base and edges was not as dark as the picture.The wood is covered with a thick shiny finish.The dial on the clock is surrounded by a brass bezel, and the half circle in front is brass.The rear of the clock is a brass colored plastic, the only part I thought wasn't top notch.The clock movement is sharp and tasteful.It's a lovely addition to my desk, I found myself starting at it quite a bit.
